Alcona is the largest district in Innisfil, and it's still growing. Up until the last 35 years, it was a cottage destination. Today it is a vibrant hub of activity year-round. Easy access to highway 400, transit and GO Train line leading to the downtown Toronto core, arriving into Union Station. Innisfil Beach Park is one of the main attractions. Residents and visitors love spending time on the sandy beaches, hiking trails, boat launch and playgrounds. The park is also very popular in the winter thanks to the toboggan hill, ice fishing, and an outdoor rink. A number of festivals and events occur here yearly. Alcona is the main residential hub within the Innisfil boundaries. Excellent growth during the past 15 years and continuing to do so.
